Welcome to Soma. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Soma wellness application (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Soma, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Soma is a personalized wellness companion that provides advisory guidance on fitness, nutrition, habits, and scheduling based on information you provide, including your equipment, pantry, goals, and—when you choose to connect it—your Google Calendar.
3. No Medical Advice
Soma provides general, educational wellness guidance and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any fitness or nutrition program, and never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read in Soma. If you experience sharp pain or discomfort during any activity, stop immediately and seek appropriate care. Soma’s guidance is gender-neutral and advisory only.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Soma for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
- Attempt to access another user’s data or disrupt the Service.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service or its content.
- Submit content that is false, infringing, or otherwise prohibited.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Soma offers a Premium subscription (“Soma Premium”) billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
7. Referral Program
Soma offers a referral program that may unlock Premium status when people you invite join and meet qualification criteria. You are responsible for sharing referrals respectfully and only with people you know. We reserve the right to modify or end the referral program, and to address any abuse or fraud.
8. Third-Party Services
When you connect Google Calendar or use payment features, those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers. You can disconnect integrations at any time from your Profile.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, content, and branding, is owned by Soma and protected by applicable laws. You retain ownership of the information you submit. You grant us a limited license to use your information solely to provide and improve the Service.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result will be achieved. Wellness outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soma and its providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its guidance.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms in the app or by other means. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Soma is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
